All gardeners know that there are 4 main phases of the moon, which affect the quality of the resulting seedlings:
- new moon;
- Waxing Crescent;
- waning moon;
- full moon.
Sowing Pepper Seeds
Sowing seeds begins with their preliminary preparation. If they are purchased in stores, and the package contains information about the procedure already carried out for their disinfection, then such seeds can immediately be planted in the ground. Own seeds or hand-acquired require special preparation. They are soaked in a weak solution of manganese and left in it for a short time. Engage in these works should be during the growing moon.
Planting is usually carried out in February - early March, since pepper seeds do not germinate quickly. But if you haven’t done this yet, don’t worry, in March and April there are still days when you can plant seeds. Namely, the 26th of this month or April 2, 3, 9, 13, 16, 25.
It is forbidden to plant peppers for seedlings on March 31, April 4, 5, 6, 19.
Landing care
After properly planted seeds give the first leaves, the seedlings are transferred to a lighted place, inaccessible to drafts.
If the sprouts ready for transfer to the new soil appeared in February, then they had to be transplanted on February 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. But there were days this month when any manipulations with seedlings are contraindicated. This is the 14th, 15th, 16th day of the month.
In March, there were much more favorable days for working with seedlings of peppers, from 8 to 11, from 13 to 15, from 17 to 21. You can still dive peppers today, March 22, and also plan a transplant for March 23, or from 26 to 29. But it was not worth marching March 1, 2, 3, 10 to disturb landings with a still weak root system. This is also unacceptable on the 30th, which will still be, so do not plan to work for this time.
In April, favorable numbers for gardeners will be 2, 6-7, 9-11, 19-20, 23-25. On these dates, any manipulations with plants will become successful and least traumatic. The best days are 2, 7 and 11.
April 5, the Moon will be new and any work with seedlings is better not worth it.
Adverse days in May and June
May is the shortest in terms of the number of unfavorable days for transplanting peppers. There are only two days in it, in which you should not deal with seedlings, as well as its transplantation into open ground. This is May 15th and 29th.
In June, the planting of peppers in open ground does not need to be planned for June 12, 13, 14 and 26.
