Violet Gold Scythians

In a flower that has not yet fully blossomed, the petals more often have a light solid color, which, under certain lighting conditions, looks golden. A brighter color appears during the growth and development of the plant.

AB Gold Scythians

Of the similar varieties of senpolis can be distinguished varieties "LE Zlata" and violet "Gold of the Scythians AB." Moreover, the violet of breeder Alexei Valkov is almost identical, except that the pink border is a more delicate shade.

Violet "LE Zlata" was launched in 2018. The main difference between this variety is the fringe of a purple hue.

It is interesting: Scythians - the largest tribe living in the territory of present-day Ukraine and Moldova in the 1st millennium BC. A unique collection of Scythian gold is kept in the Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine.

Features of the care of violet Zlato Skif

The violets Scythian Gold (AB) and Scythian Gold (LE) are almost identical in care:

Violet Radiant bell - variety description

The most important rule for maintaining color saturation and the appearance of the border is compliance with the temperature regime. For any senpolia, temperatures above 30 degrees are fatal. As for varietal specimens, it is best to maintain a temperature of 17 to 23 degrees during the period of laying flower stalks. Scythian gold in cooler conditions often shows a border of green hue.

Attention! The myth that violets love shade has destroyed a considerable number of plants.

Violet lighting should be correct. Senpolis love bright but diffused light. Lack of lighting leads to a lack of flowering, stretching the leaves up. And at the same time, too intense sun can burn leaves. Therefore, the southern and southeastern windows are best shaded blinds or glued on the windows with special paper. In winter, it is important to organize the backlight.

Violets of these varieties do not like excessive watering, as well as severe drought. The soil is watered as the top layer dries per centimeter. Water should be settled and not cold. As for wick watering, the requirements are similar.

Important! Spraying flowers or leaves is not required and may even spoil the plant.

But periodic bathing removes dust from sockets. You can wash the violet directly under the tap, gently tilting the leaves. After that, the pot is left in a place without drafts for drying for a couple of hours. When bathing, you need to cover the ground with a film.

High humidity, contrary to popular myth, violets are completely unnecessary. Moreover, at low temperatures, excessive moisture can cause rot and mold. In the heating season, if dry tips begin to appear on the leaves, it is best to use a moisturizer (it is useful for flowers and people).

Soil is the most important rule in the successful cultivation of the LE Zlato Scythian flower. Plain earth will not work, because it gets wet quickly. The ideal solution is horse peat (40 percent) and a cultivator (perlite, foam balls, vermiculite).

Any varieties of senpolia require frequent fertilizing and soil changes. With a lack of nutrients, the violet Zlato Skifov loses its saturated color of leaves, does not bloom, or buds become smaller.

Observing all the rules, you can achieve the perfect hat flowering.

When and how it blooms

It blooms most often in the second half of summer and early autumn. The flowers are large, a bright color appears as it dissolves. In hot conditions, the color may become completely pink with a small area of yellow inside.

For reference! By the way, the AB Gold Scythian variety also loses most of the yellow color in the heat, acquiring pink. Accordingly, no border will be visible.

How to propagate the Violet Gold of Scythians at home

What does a violet look like - a description of the plant

There are three ways to propagate the senpolia:

  1. The seeds. The option is most often used by breeders.
  2. Leafy cuttings.
  3. Peduncles (in the case of chimeras).

The most common option is to take a leaf stalk. It should be cut with a sharp blade (wipe with alcohol), a sheet is needed from the second row. It is necessary to choose instances without spots and defects.

Next, you need to either put the stalk in water until the roots appear (then place it in the ground), or root it right away.

To do this, pour a mixture of perlite and peat in a ratio of 60 to 40 in a small plastic glass. We place the sheet to a depth of a centimeter and strengthen it in the ground. After this, it is better to place the stalk in a greenhouse - here the processes will go faster.

Rooting violet leaf

After about 2 weeks, the leaf will take root, and after a month - children. The latter should be planted as soon as at least 4 sheets of at least 2 centimeters in size have grown.

Transplant after purchase

If you have already purchased an adult plant or a baby, then they need to be replanted immediately, since the soil may not be suitable. We select a container in size about 2 times smaller than the outlet. If we are talking about children, you can take plastic cups of 50 ml (for example, from a baby curd).

Violet transplant after purchase

Holes must be made at the bottom. Then expanded clay is poured and sprinkled with earth.

Note! The violet should be in the container at such a level that the midpoint of growth rises slightly. We place the outlet in the middle and gently add soil to the sides. Tamp lightly.

The main problems of violets Gold Scythians

What problems may a grower want to grow this interesting variety?

  1. Dark spots on the leaves indicate excessive wetting of the soil and possible problems with the root system. It is necessary to inspect the roots. If they are normal, then transplant the flower into a suitable soil. If brown, but the stem is strong, we clean it with a knife and plant it again in fresh ground. Black stalk and soft cuttings mean the death of the outlet. Brown spots on the leaves remain upon ingress of moisture and further drafts.
  2. Bacteriosis is manifested by a gradual darkening of the trunk and cuttings, over time they rot completely. Most often, the disease begins in the heat and affects plants with weak immunity. Therefore, before the onset of summer, it is important to put the collection in order - to re-root diseased outlets, change the ground to light, etc.
  3. The spider mite quite often affects the senpolia. In stores you can buy a lot of money for destruction, while flowers will have to be removed. When processing it is important to rinse the window sills and pots well.
  4. Mealybug most often appears in conditions of high humidity. In the store you can also buy a drug to destroy the pest.

With proper care, the violet Gold of Scythians or Gold of Scythians will certainly thank you with a lush and bright flowering. At the same time, the unusual appearance of flowers will surely amaze other lovers of flowers and ordinary inhabitants.
